WHEA Governing Board Awards
Each year, WHEA teachers will select a graduating senior to receive the The Andi Pawasarat-Losalio Community Service Award and Heather Nakakura Leadership Award which are sponsored and financed by the WHEA Governing Board.
Andi Pawasarat-Losalio Community Service Award
Students considered for this award are community minded, civic spirited, willing volunteers in their school community, and/or the community at large. The award is named for Andi Pawasarat-Losalio who has selflessly served on and lead the WHEA Governing Board through challenging times.
Heather Nakakura Leadership Award
Students considered for this award are recognized for their demonstrated ability to combine academic excellence and exemplary leadership who best exemplifies the values of public service and leadership through their contributions to our school and community. The award is named for Heather Nakakura, founder, teacher and director of WHEA who continues to inspire others.
